Project Overview:

The rapid transition to electric vehicles (EVs) is a critical step towards sustainable transportation and reducing our carbon footprint. However, the dependency on grid electricity, which is often generated from non-renewable sources, poses a significant challenge to achieving truly green mobility. This project aims to develop a solar-assisted electric vehicle (EV) charging system, integrating photovoltaic (PV) technology with the conventional battery charging system. This innovative approach will enhance the sustainability and energy efficiency of EVs, making them more environmentally friendly and cost-effective.

Objectives:

1. Design and Integrate Solar Charging System: - Develop a robust and efficient PV system tailored for EVs. - Integrate the PV system with the existing EV battery management system to ensure seamless operation and optimal energy usage.

2. Enhance Energy Efficiency: - Maximize the energy harvested from the sun using advanced solar panels and tracking systems. - Implement energy management algorithms to prioritize solar energy usage over grid electricity.

3. Increase Range and Flexibility: - Extend the driving range of EVs by supplementing battery power with solar energy. - Provide a flexible charging solution that reduces dependency on charging stations, especially in remote areas.
